Theodosius I, also known as Theodosius the Great, was the last emperor to rule over both the eastern and western halves of the Roman Empire. A staunch Christian, he made Nicene Christianity the state religion and banned pagan worship. His coinage often features Victory, crosses, and labarum standards, symbolizing divine support and Christian triumph in the late empire.
